COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Response

COVID-19 concerns are rising, but we want you to know that your drinking water is and will continue to be produced and safe.  COVID-19 and other viruses are inactivated by chlorine in the drinking water.  We meet and exceed State and EPA standards in regards to disinfection.  Your water is and will continue to be safe to consume.  We are preparing as a City to ensure essential services continue in the event of virus transmission to the area.  There will be NO water shut offs during at this time.

Vernal City officials have worked together to establish an immediate plan for protecting employees and the public during the current outbreak of COVID-19, or coronavirus.  These are initial measures only, and more changes may be implemented.  Vernal City officials continue to carefully monitor the situation.

The City offices will be open during regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Members of the public should avoid visits to the City offices unless absolutely necessary.  Utility bills can be paid online at http://vernalcity.org/408/Make-a-Payment , via telephone at 435-789-2255 or utilize the drive-up drop box located outside the building.
